Meet the Winners!
One of the best parts of working for Southwest Art is calling up artists to tell them they are contest winners. Ohio artist Cecile Baird was thrilled to learn that she won First Place in our 21 Over 31 competition for her colored-pencil painting of a banana titled "Any Way You Slice It." See all 21 contest winners by picking up a copy of the November issue or visiting our website.

Artist of the Moment: Quang Ho
At times Colorado artist Quang Ho and his paintings seem to be downright ubiquitous, writes senior editor Bonnie Gangelhoff on the Southwest Art blog. In addition to the many shows he exhibits in, Ho just published a children's book, Ansel and the Great Tree. The book features Ho's original artworks, like the one above, and a charming story penned by his mother-in-law, Rose Switzer.
