| Dig In this Summer | Clay, dirt, soil—whatever you want to call it, we're celebrating the prolific material this summer in Marvelous Mud: Clay Around the World. You can explore eight exhibitions that take you through time and across the globe, get your hands dirty in our Mud Studio, or watch live artist demonstrations every weekend. Roxanne Swentzell will be working in the American Indian art galleries July 5–7 on her 10-foot sculpture Mud Woman Rolls On. Starting July 9, adobe experts Bill and Athena Steen need your help constructing a huge outdoor CLAYground. Make nooks, crannies, and stairs. On July 16, don't miss Marvelous Mud Family Day with loads of activities for kids of all ages. Paint tiles,watch a clay animation film fest, vote for the wackiest works in clay, or listen to an all clay band—then join in!
