Artist Lecture: Rubén Ortiz-Torres Thursday, August 4, 2011  7:00 p.m.  | During the Summer Salon Series Free after Museum admission   Featuring work developed from the early eighties to the early nineties and inspired by the punk scene in Mexico City, Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man: Works by Rubén Ortiz-Torres opens July 30.  Ortiz-Torres, an internationally-renowned artist, curator, and author, will discuss his work featured in this new exhibition.  Summer Salon Series Thursday - August 4, 2011 | 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. In response to this year's Summer Salon Series theme–What does a city need?– the evening of  August 4 will consider the idea of Edges.
