Rocky Mountain Artists
The latest issue of Southwest Art is hitting the newsstands right about now, and for October we focus on artists from Rocky Mountain states. Denver-based painter Ken Valastro finds endless inspiration in bustling city scenes, which he renders with vigorous brushwork and bold colors, like his painting above titled "Umbrella Impressions." Pick up a copy of the magazine or visit our website to read about Valastro and other Rocky Mountain artists.

On our newly redesigned website, we're now posting additional paintings and sculptures by artists featured in the print version of the magazine. Karin Jurick, a figurative artist profiled in the October issue, captures snapshots of people going about their daily livesordinary moments that she infuses with freshness and spontaneity. See more of Jurick's work, such as her painting "We Still Have Paris" (shown above), by visiting our website.
