BARCELONA.- Fifty Antoni Tàpies paintings and drawings are being exhibited at the Palau Fabre Foundation (Fundación Palau Fabre) from today on in the Gaze at the Hand (Mira la mano...) exhibition, which shows the vitality of the last ten years of this artist, who has already reached 87 and with which the Foundation opens a new stage. Arriving simultaneously with the vernissage of the new permanent exhibition, the Foundation has done a redistribution of the spaces assigned to temporary exhibitions, which starts with an exhibition of the recent work of Tàpies, chosen by the also artist Perejaume, the director of the center, Josep Sampera, has informed today in a press conference. INDIANAPOLIS, IN.- Maxwell L. Anderson, The Melvin & Bren Simon Director and CEO of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, announced today that the IMA will open Miller House and Garden to the public in May 2011. Located in Columbus, Ind., and one of the countrys most highly regarded examples of mid-century Modernist residences, the Miller House was designed by Eero Saarinen, with interiors by Alexander Girard, and landscape design by Daniel Urban Kiley. Members of the Miller family donated the house and gardens, along with many of its original furnishings, to the Museum in 2009. Additionally, members of the Miller family and the Irwin-Sweeney-Miller Foundation have donated $5 million to establish an endowment for the house and surrounding grounds. Harley-Davidson Museum to Pay Tribute to Vets MILWAUKEE (AP).- The Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee is planning to pay tribute to veterans and their families next month. It will offer free admission to them November 4 through Nov. 7. On Nov. 4, a Harley archivist will talk about the history of military vehicles and the company's other wartime contributions. On Nov. 5, a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Dana Harbaugh, will talk about his decision to create a tribute Harley-Davidson motorcycle and show his photographs of association members. On Nov. 6, 80 cadets from St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Program will perform to honor veterans from World War I to current conflicts.
