| Contemporary Western Art
| Opening December 12, Western Horizons: Landscapes from the Contemporary Realism Collection looks at the American West through the eyes of artists working today. Revealing the unique landscapes and scenery that still exist, the show turns a creative eye on what's happening in the Western community now. Members have a slew of special opportunities. They can enjoy a special reception for Western Horizons on December 12 from 11 am to 1 pm with docent-led tours, refreshments, and a 15 percent discount on all western books. Curator Thomas Smith gives his point of view on contemporary western art at a members-only lecture on Tuesday, January 11. Not a member? Join today.
The western American art department also hosts their annual symposium this January. A Distant View explains the European perspective on Western art. | Western Horizons »
