Behind the Scenes with Sculptor Roxanne Swentzell
Wednesday, March 16, 1, 2 & 3 pm

Master teacher Heather Nielsen will give you a special look at Roxanne's sculpture, Mud Woman Rolls On. Drop in for a chat with the artist, watch Roxanne sculpt in the galleries, and find out how she uses straw wattles and Colorado adobe to construct her storyteller figure on level three of the North Building.

The museum commissioned Santa Clara potter Roxanne Swentzell to create a sculpture for the entrance to the new American Indian art galleries. Her large, 10-foot sculpture will depict a Pueblo mother and her four children.

Come on down to the museum at 1, 2, or 3 pm. Free with general admission. No reservations needed.
