| The Age of Arousal By Linda Griffiths Until Saturday 12 March 1885 - a time of great passion, great confusion. Virtue is barely holding down its petticoats. Women are bursting their corsets with unbridled desire. Determined to make women rich, ex-militant suffragette Mary Barfoot and her devoted protégé and lover Rhoda enlist female students to master the new invention that will gain them freedom - the typewriter. Three spinster sisters are invited into the school to rescue them from poverty, setting in motion an odyssey of alcoholism, cross dressing and sexual revolution. Enter Everard Barfoot, Mary's cousin, an ex-doctor in his 30s about to embark on a life of leisure, and suddenly all the characters in this lavish sexy ensemble piece are erupting with discoveries, contradictions and epiphanies. Genre busting, rule-bending and ambitiously original.

| Yes, Prime Minister Tuesday 8 - Saturday 12 March
Following a sell-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre and successful West End run, Yes, Prime Minister comes to the King's Theatre for 1 week only. In a world of spin, Blackberrys and 'sexed up' dossiers, the PM is staring disaster in the face. The country is on the brink of financial meltdown and the Government's only apparent salvation comes from a morally dubious deal with the Foreign Minister of Kumranistan. Will Jim Hacker and his team of advisors be able to rescue the country from the edge? Journey's End Tuesday 15 - Saturday 19 March
In the days leading up to the last great German offensive of the First World War, Raleigh, an 18 year old solider joins a besieged company of soldiers in the British trenches at St Quentin. There he finds his new comrades being led by his old school friend Stanhope, but discovers that the man in army greens much changed from the boy he left behind in cricketing whites. Journey's End is the Olivier-nominated, Tony and Drama Desk award winning production directed by David Grindley (Six Degrees of Separation, Crown Matrimonial, The Philanthropist) that won critical acclaim in the West End and on Broadway.

The New Objectivity: Realism in Weimar Cinema Wednesday 13 April - Wednesday 13 July Alongside the National Galleries of Scotland's exhibition of August Sander's photography, Filmhouse presents an overview of cinema verité from Weimar Germany. GW Pabst was the foremost proponent of this central strand. We will screen several of his key works, including Joyless Street (1925), Threepenny Opera (1931), and his pacifist masterpiece Westfront 1918 (1930), as well as films by other leading realist filmmakers of the period. This vibrant chapter in German cinema came to an abrupt end with the rise of Nazism in the early thirties, but the films remain gripping today - a testament to the curiosity and innovation of these groundbreaking filmmakers.

From writing to starring in plays, musicals, theatrical and comedy productions, to films and sitcoms, Cleese has done it all, and now it's time for him to tell you about his jam-packed life.
