You'll Find Out

One of North Carolina's favorite sons—band leader, radio and recording star Kay Kyser—had 11 No. 1 records and a hit radio show from 1938 to 1949. Head cheerleader during his years at the University of North Carolina, he retired to Chapel Hill, where he helped found UNC Memorial Hospital and UNC Public Television. His daughter Kimberly Kyser introduces “a completely entertaining musical mystery".

Please plan to stay for a Q&A with Kimberly Kyser following the film.

You'll Find Out
(1940) Directed by David Butler. Kay Kyser, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Peter Lorre. (97 min.) Shown on DVD.

Kay Kyser, the “Ol’ Professor of Swing,” arrives at a spooky Bellacrest Mansion and tangles with three horror-film icons to save a beleaguered heiress. Kyser’s radio sensation, the Kollege of Musical Knowledge, is re-created onscreen, along with five hit songs.
