503x298

Opening this Saturday:
Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man:
Works by Rubén Ortiz-Torres

144x131

Comprised of work from the early 80's to the early 90's and inspired by the punk scene in Mexico City, the exhibition Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man, features the work of internationally-renowned artist, curator, and author, Rubén Ortiz-Torres. Like with many of his contemporaries, punk culture became an avenue through which Ortiz-Torres formulated his own creative identity. As both a participant in the punk scene and a visual artist, Ortiz-Torres' works from this period demonstrate his intimate relationship with his subjects.
