This Friday: Santa is Coming to the Museum

North Carolina Museum of Art
Special Event

Holiday Family Friday
Friday, December 17 | 5:30–8:30 pm

Christmas Homecoming by Norman RockwellBring the whole family for a special outing that hearkens back to simpler times. Put your kids in their pajamas, and let them stay up late for holiday fun—including a visit with Santa!

Free activities include:

Photo opportunities with Santa Claus (bring your camera!)

Film favorites How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Mickey’s Christmas Carol, and Shrek the Halls (30 min. each)

Storytelling including
'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Live holiday music

While you're here, embrace the spirit of the season by treating the whole family to Norman Rockwell's images of American life. On this night only, children under 12 see American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell for free with a paying adult.* Pair with a family supper in Rockwell Café, serving up comfort food favorites like chili, peanut butter and jelly, and milk and cookies, for a memorable night out.

Registration isn't required for all the free activities, but it would be most helpful to let Santa's elves know if you
plan to attend. Admission to American Chronicles does require a ticket.

*One free admission for a child under 12 per adult admission. Free tickets for children will be available in person at the Box Office at the event.
