Dear omss,
If you recently made a contribution to Intuit's year-end appeal, we are incredibly grateful. Please remember to ask your friends and family to join you. Intuit's New Year of exhibitions and programs promises to be even better than the last, but we need your support.

We have even more exciting programming planned
for 2011 - our 20th Anniversary year.

·   Architecture of Hope - the Treasures of Intuit
   January 21 - May 14, 2011

In celebration of Intuit's 20th Anniversary, we contracted with author and folklorist, Roger Manley to mine Intuit's permanent collection for this exhibition. In his curatorial statement Manley writes, "Architecture of Hope - the Treasures of Intuit will explore a range of inspired responses to struggle as generated by self-taught artists to transform life's challenges into opportunities for artistic invention."

·  Esta Chido Todo: Raul Maldonado
   June 3 - August 27, 2011
Translated, "It's so cool," Intuit will present the first major exhibition of the work of Raul Maldonado, a young Mexican immigrant from Hanover Park, Illinois, who creates large-scale works on 22-by-28 inch poster board, completing one board at a time on his drawing table where he numbers each one. He then assembles dozens of boards into works that can stretch up to 15 feet!

·  Eugene von Bruenchenhein
   September 16 - December 31, 2011
Forced by poverty to use what materials he could lay his hands on, including clay dug up in nearby Wisconsin State Fair Park, paintbrushes made with his wife's hair, salvaged car paint and poultry bones, a full century after his birth in 1910, Von Bruenchenhein's star is on the rise.

Your support makes it  all possible.  Your contribution helps us to make payroll, light our galleries, produce fine exhibitions and publications, and maintain the high quality of our educational programs.  Intuit continually strives to be world-class in all that we do.  It is our generous donors, who, this year helped us expand our Teacher Fellowship Program to 22 teachers in 11 Chicago Public Schools. Your support also adds books, monographs, DVDs, and other materials to our highly-acclaimed Robert A. Roth Study Center.

As 2010 draws to a close, we wish you Seasons Greetings and warm wishes for joy, peace and prosperity for the coming New Year! Your tax-deductible contribution will support Intuit, the only nonprofit organization in the United States that is solely dedicated to presenting self-taught and outsider art - with world class exhibitions; resources for scholars and students; an ever-growing Permanent Collection with holdings of more than 1,100 works of art; the Henry Darger Room Collection; and the Robert A. Roth Study Center.

Help us grow.

All the best,
