Star potential. Think you have what it takes to become the next big artist? No, we don’t mean in an American Idol way. We mean artist as in visual artist. Or car designer. Or video game creator. You know, the types of dream careers you can start preparing for in Art Center College of Design’s Saturday High. Saturday High is a program that helps students (grades 9 through 12) become better artists, designers and thinkers. Whether you’re mapping out your future or just taking a course for fun, our award-winning instructors can introduce you to opportunities you didn’t know existed. Just ask Richard Kam, a recent graduate of John Marshall High School. A logo and poster he redesigned for a Saturday High class project, The World at Night, is featured in the latest issue of CMYK, a prestigious magazine publishing work of emerging college art students. “I used to think design was just making something look perfect,” says Richard, who created the designs in Zohrab “Z” Gevorkian’s Graphic Design course. “But Z introduced me to principles like pre-planning, conceptualization and creating a balanced space. It’s more than just pushing pixels around.” Read Richard’s story. Ready to go supernova? Classes fill quickly, so register today. Spring Term begins February 5, 2011. |
