Art Alive, the Museum's signature fundraiser, is a unique exhibition of floral arrangements, created by more than 100 floral designers who take inspiration from the Museum’s renowned, permanent collection and a rotunda filled with flowers, this year designed by René van Rems.

During this special time, the Museum is transformed into a glorious spectacle of art and flowers, creating an enchanting spring exhibition that is punctuated with a myriad of special events including the Opening Celebration, Bouquet Bash, Flowers After Hours, and more.

Malashock Dance Presents the Floating World

Saturdays and Sundays through April 23, 2011
Preformances at 2:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m.

In conjunction with the exhibition Dreams and Diversions, Malashock Dance will present a contemporary dance performance celebrating some of the narratives from these Japanese woodblock prints.  The exhibition is comprised of a type of print called ukiyo-e, which translates to ‘pictures of the floating world.’ The performance will also feature the work of video artist Tara Knight, the musical scoring of Zoe Keating and costumes designed by Zandra Rhodes.
