Dear omss, It was in June 1991, that a group of visionary individuals came together to establish Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art with the belief that the instinct to create art is universal and the arts must embrace all, celebrate all, and be accessible to all -- regardless of education, art training, or socio-economic status. If you agree that Intuit's mission is critical to driving awareness and understanding of outsider art within and beyond the art community, than I ask you to help us continue this work. We're risk takers. Intuit puts on some of the most exciting exhibitions in the country. The art that we show cannot be seen anywhere else. The Outsider is a gorgeous magazine and although it's not self-sustaining, it's the only American magazine devoted to this genre. The Henry Darger Room Collection is a resource for scholars and curators around the world; we have a growing permanent collection; and an acclaimed education program.
