Museum members are invited for a sneak preview of our exhibition Gustav Stickley and the American Arts and Crafts Movement, opening to the public on June 18. This exhibition gives a broad survey of Stickley's work as a designer and demonstrates how his furniture, textiles, architectural designs, and metalwork were part of a broader philosophy for living. Tucker, the Margot B. Perot Curator of Decorative Arts and Design for the Dallas Museum of Art and the curator of the exhibition. This lecture and reception celebrates the opening of the exhibition, Gustav Stickley and the American Arts and Crafts Movement, which offers a comprehensive overview of Stickley's work as a designer and his broader philosophy for living, as well as his role in the development of the American Arts and Crafts movement.
