Artists depict any scene or character(s) from literature, whether it be a play, poem, novel, song lyric, children's book or their car's owner manual [just kidding...maybe!].

Adult Programs 
Gallery Talks October 6, 1:30-2pm
Examine the OMA's collections with associate curator of adult programs, Jan Clanton. Free with admission.
 
October 24, 2:30pm 
An eerie hour of spine-tingling thrills during this multi-media program. Listen as professional storytellers tell haunting tales. Beware: not for the faint of heart or young children. Admission is $10, $5 for OMA members, and includes admission to the galleries.

Video Series October 27, 12-1pm
Bring a brown bag lunch and join us for coffee and cookies as we view a video and discuss on Vermeer, Turner, and Van Gogh. 
 
Creation Station October 31, 12-2pm
All ages are invited to design and create a Halloween mask using a variety of materials.  See UCF Visual Art and Theater Department students engage in a visual dialogue with an improv showing of hats and masks inspired by Edward Gorey's The Gashlycrumb Tinies. Admission is $3, $2 for OMA members.

Special Audiences Programs
Art's the Spark @ OMA October 9 and 23, 10-11:30am
This program is specifically designed for people suffering from memory loss and their caregivers. This program is free with required pre-registration. Call 407 896 4231 x261.
 
Alzheimer's Poetry Day October 16, 12:30-2:30pm
Experience how poetry can spark memories of those living with dementia related disorders at this free event which is open to the public. New York City poet and author Gary Glazner will present poetry written by those with Alzheimer's.

Hear Halloween Hats by Elizabeth Winthrop, and parade through the museum in your costumes on our trick-or-trick scavenger hunt before we head to the studio to make boo-tiful Halloween hats! $10 per adult, $8 per OMA member; first child free, $3 per additional child.
