Time for Fun and Imagination
Arleta Pech, the subject of the Artist to Watch column in our May issue, uses her imagination to create her artwork, and hopes her work is something collectors love. Her newest set of oil paintings were inspired by the book Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, such as the one seen here titled MINUET FOR THE RED QUEEN. They feature rabbits, clocks, felines, and tea parties. "I want people to use their imaginations," she says. Her solo show, titled A Procession of Curious Things, opens tomorrow at Abend Gallery in Denver, CO.
