cars and horses

As the ages come and go, our methods of getting around may change completely. Gone are the days of horse drawn carriages and soon our conception of the car may also change as we head towards more ecologically sound inventions.

Mankind's relationship with its mode of transport has always been one of deep meaning. It is through transport that we have been able to communicate, meet, share ideas and develop as a society. Far from being a dull necessity, these things are packed with beauty and aesthetic pleasures; who could deny wonder of the cool crisp lines of a vintage Jag? Who would ever disagree that the horse is one of nature's most handsom animals?

These paintings explore the issues, images and purpose of these two important parts of our history, showing off the intricate beauty and endless possibilities of movement and interaction.
