| | Two New Exhibitions in June | Contemporary American Graphics Collection View one of the most comprehensive print collections in Florida for two weeks only at the OMA, June 18 through July 3. The exhibition will feature more than 100 original lithographs, etchings, silk-screen prints and woodcuts by America's foremost artists. Prints in this exhibition are part of the OMA's Council of 101 Corporate Lease Program, which was initiated in 1974 to lease fine art prints to Central Florida businesses on an biennial basis. The lease fees are used to purchase new prints each year, helping to build the OMA's Contemporary American Graphics Collection. Expressions in Glass: American Brilliant Cut Glass 1876-1914 This exhibition will present some of the finest examples of glass from this period in private collections. | Fun Spring Youth and Family Programs | A Book and A Look June 1- August 31. New free program! A Book and A Look bags examine the OMA's art treasures by artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe, and engage your family with activities and discussion starters. The bags are recommended for pre-school through elementary age children. This project is funded in part by Bright House Networks. Storytelling June 26 / 2:00pm. Central Florida's most sought-after storyteller, Bill Cordell, will spark your imagination with his animated and fun delivery. Come hear favorite American folktales and tall tales! Free with admission. Art Adventures June 28 / 9:30am. Join us for a fun play date with Mrs. Cross that uses all your senses to explore the OMA! Specially designed gallery hunts and stories make art come alive! This month's theme is "A Neighborhood is a Friendly Place". Create a neighbor as you explore shapes and textures. Adult Programs | Gallery Talks June 1 / 1:30. Examine the OMA's collections with associate curator of adult programs, Jan Clanton. Tours are free with gallery admission. Art's the Spark @ OMA* June 11 / 10:30-11:30am. For those with memory impairment and their caregivers. This fun experience includes interactive guided tours and studio activities that offer an expressive outlet and a forum for adult dialogue. This free program was funded in part by a grant from the Funds of the Community Foundation of Central Florida, Inc., one of more than 300 charitable funds established since 1994. Additional support has been provided by the Winter Park Health Foundation. Video Series: French Impressionism June 22 / Noon-1:00pm. Rosamond Bernier, famous Metropolitan Museum of Art lecturer, discusses the artists that she met and grew to know in Paris. The series, "French Impressionism: A School for Happiness" will introduce you to Manet, Monet, Degas, Renior, Pissarro, Cezanne and others.
