Free First Saturday: Play the Field!
10 am-3 pm
Meet for a playdate and help kick off Open Field for a summer of outdoor fun. Highlights include a "mobile creative outpost" designed by Ben Garthus and activities led by Leonardo's Basement that mix art, science, and technology. Have lunch at the Garden Grill or Garden Café by D'Amico, and launch a creative exploration of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden with a scavenger hunt or a WAC Garden Pack. read more >> |
 Nightshift
Part of Northern Spark
9 pm- 6 am
Take in a live headphone concert in the outdoor Skyspace chamber, learn the secret language of sleep positions, and explore new exhibitions during our special late-late-night gallery hours. It's all part of Northern Spark, a dusk til dawn festival of art. Don't forget to bring your sleeping bag!

Garden Grill by D'Amico
Enjoy summer classics both savory and sweet, including sausages, hot dogs, and burgers, plus a variety of local beers, wines, soda, and lemonade.
New this year: Happy Hour! Enjoy drink specials on the outdoor patio at the Garden Grill every Thursday night.
Target Free Thursday Nights
Join us for an eclectic mash-up of events every Thursday night, both inside the Walker and outdoors, including the popular Drawing Club from 2-7 pm. |
Be a Creator 
Add to the mix this year with an Open Field program of your own! Share what you know--your talents, skills, and passions--or take a leap and try something new.
