Intuit's Birthday Party: June 10, 10pm | Thanks to all our friends who have donated their time and talent, Intuit's Birthday Party event will also help raise funds for Intuit. Lord of the Yum-Yum will emcee the evening and will be playing the first set, followed by Cast Spells and headlined by Bottomless Pit. Birthday cupcakes and treats for all have been donated by our friends at Amazing Edibles. There will also be a raffle with prize packages including gift certificates to local businesses (Saki, 694 Wine & Spirits, Reckless Records, DeLux Bar and Grill) and art donated by Mikey Welsh, Chris Kerr and Jeremy Tinder. | Eugene Von Bruenchenhein seemed to use anything he could to create his artwork. He painted using cardboard and homemade paintbrushes, created sculptures out of chicken bones and cement, and exercised his camera with double exposures to heighten his photography. Self-taught and self-proclaimed, "Freelance Artist, Poet and Sculptor, Inovator [sic], Arrow maker and Plant man, Bone artifacts constructor, Photographer and Architect, Philosopher," see his work during the upcoming exhibition Eugene Von Bruenchenhein: From the Wand of the Genii, at Intuit September 16, 2011 - January 14, 2012.
