Kicking things off on Thursday, September 1, the Film Center teams up with the Hotel Modera for a special screening of the classic Italian heist film Big Deal on Madonna Street, with proceeds benefiting the 2012 Portland International Film Festival. Then, on Wednesday, September 7 at the Mission Theater, the Film Center along with Musicfest NW and Search Party present a special Pre-Reel Music Festival screening of Wheedle's Groove, chronicling Seattle's forgotten 1960s soul scene.
